everything was good about the hotel have no complaints
the location of the hotel was excellent and the staff were very friendly
The location was very good, close to all the shops and pubs
The room and bathroom was old and dull but still clean
When we booked out the day after booking in.
We were very un happy with the whole hotel
My booking at Travelodge Derry represented great value for money and the location was also ideal as it was within walking distance of all the places I was visiting during my stay.
nothing this hotel is in an excellent location for shopping and nightlife did not enjoy my stay
room dirty no matress cover sheets and pillow cases stained bathroom digusting tiles off wall mouldy dirty brown stained sink with visible cracks dirty toliet seat had to put towel on bottom of bath to stand on to have a shower i do go to derry alot and have stayed in numerous hotels decided to stay in travelodge due to price but now wish i had of paid extra to stay in tower or city hotel will not be advising friends or family to stay here
The proximity to the town centre
The Hotel is in need of a make over. It is dated, run down and noisy due to the fact that it ws full of stag and hen parties
Unfortunately I would say that this hotel is nothing short of a zoo after lights out. situated across from a club and above a bar from about 11pm till at least 4 in the morning it is impossible to sleep as the windows may as well been wide open for all the good they done keeeping out the noise. Double possibly triple glazing would be helpful. Bathroom was mouldy with peeling paint on the walls. Beds uncomfortable. Wont be back not worthy of the travelodge name this hotel is ruining your reputation
Perfect location for exploring the city of Derry and very friendly staff.
the location was ideal for our needs, and central to all facilitys
Sightseeing, shopping, visiting pubs.
That I was able to book it at the extreme last minute during a holiday weekend. the desk staff were accomodating in moving me to a triple.
The bathroom was really dirty. the beds were very old. the room was huge, there wasn't any furniture other than the beds & a folding chair. it is hard to park and check in as parking isn't available. very expensive breakfast option considering a cafe two doors down offers one for £3.50. it was too expensive for what was on offer, this should be a budget hotel. big time.
i liked the helpfulness of the staf and the ability to come and go to and from my room as i pleased.
i found the room a little bit cold at night
The man who took our LOST phone call directed us to free parking for the night which turned out to be free for our whole stay because there was no attendant; apparently without an attendant, there is no charge. THAT was nice. ABOUT THE QUESTION BELOW pertaining to website reviews - I read none so will not be able to accurately answer that question.
1. The bathroom was not clean enough. I have pictures to show it. I did not complain to anyone there because when I have done that in the past, at other places, the rest of the stay has been difficult. I will file a formal complaint to the hotel address about this. 2. The man who took our LOST phone call did not know the neighborhood in the vicinity of the hotel. Had he known the neighborhood, he would have told us that we were just down the street about a block away. I described landmarks, other businesses, where we had been, and where we thought we were (street signage in both Irelands is the worst I've ever seen). He knew nothing about the neighborhood which is not good when you attempt to give instructions to lost people. OOps! Space!!
I liked NOTHING during our stay.
The room, especially the bathroom, was FILTHY. The staff were uncaring and though we were told there was breakfast and dinner on site, the staff were not interested at all and advised us to go next door to Wetherspoons where we would get good, cheap food. The lodge was run down and shabby. The 4 of us will never stay in a Travelodge again!
